Qualified at Cambridge in 2007 and went to Rossdales as a guinea pig for the diagnostic imaging internship. Worked for a global thoroughbred breeding operation for 7 years in Newmarket as an in-house vet. Returned to Rossdales as part-time ambulatory vet after starting a family. During this time Lucy was voted onto British Equine Veterinary Association Council, chairing the Ethics and Welfare committee, sitting on the Equestrian Sports Committee, and is a trustee of the charity. Through BEVA Lucy is co-opted onto the Horserace Betting Levy Board Thoroughbred Research Consultation Group. Lucy enjoys working with sports horses and racehorses, with a strong interest in orthopaedics, imaging and pre-purchase examination. Outside of work Lucy's spare time is consumed by two beautifully bonkers children, a lycra-obsessed husband, an aged Springer Spaniel and a spirited ex-racehorse.
