At this very moment, you will find me dividing my time between; running around after 2 children, our crazy menagerie of animals (including; sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats etc. – Typical vets!) and managing our joint property portfolio and my own social marketing business. But how did I get to here?
Graduated in 2003 from Liverpool and spent time in mixed and then equine first opinion practice, interspersed with a brief dabble into academia as part of the anatomy department at the RVC (which I loved). I continued in equine practice, spending 4 years as a clinician in the practice at The University of Liverpool. I moved from here to set up and run an equine practice alongside my husband (also an equine vet) where my role gradually became more managerial and less clinical over the course of 5 years. It did however allow me to develop my interest and skills related to running a business, so that when I stepped down as a director following the arrival of our second child, it seemed a logical progression to set up another business of my own.
