Mixed then small animal vet for 14 years before I moved into this role.
I wanted a change from practice and to broaden my skill set, plus the remote working provided flexibility for family life.
No additional qualifications but experience in practice was required.
The flexibility is great for family life, and the work is very interesting. Plus it allows me to utilise my writing skills as writing has always been a passion of mine.
The only downside with remote work is you can sometimes miss the social interaction you get with colleagues in practice.
Someone who is self motivated, able to keep work independently and communicate effectively with professionals as well as the public. Someone who enjoys writing/written communication.
None
If you are looking for remote work this is a great way to use your knowledge in a non-practice setting.
