We are an independent, start-up farm animal veterinary practice in the heart of Dorset.
We are in a dairy-dense area and work with progressive cattle and sheep clients.
We cover 24:7 emergency on call.
We prioritise a happy and healthy work-life balance, and our packages reflect this ethos. We want team members to feel valued and appreciated. We thank you for your hard work.
We welcome new members with a goodie bag, we arrange team outings, and we recognise loyalty, hard work and referrals through our bonus scheme.
We actively support professional development by providing a good CPD package ,and we encourage postgraduate certificates and diplomas. This ethos is backed up by ensuring vets have suitable time in their diaries to study and encourage team buy-in through clinical club-style feedback sessions.
We embrace flexible ways of working to ensure good farm vets are retained in the industry. We appreciate that everyone has their own family and life pressures and believe vets should not be a slaves to their workplace.
We are open to offering part-time positions to ensure employees continue to enjoy farm vetting whilst managing their other commitments and interests too.
We value our team and our clients more than our bottom line. We are doing this because we believe in improving recruitment and retention of great farm vets and we want to support local farmers to ensure the future of their businesses, whilst promoting the highest level of animal welfare and care.
An ideal employee has a proactive style of vetting, is good at communicating with clients and the wider team and has the confidence to take the initiative, leading on projects and investigations.

As a start-up we are looking at this closely.
Our soap are eco products, our paper towels, bags and printing paper are made using recycled paper or are biodegradable.
We will minimise plastic use and monitor our fuel and electricity consumption. Once we are up and running we will join the Vet Sustain practice benchmarking membership.
We tailor this to each individual, given everyone has different motivations and aspirations and this is reviewed regularly during our appraisal process.
As we grow we will look at the options of share holders and partnerships at the highest level of progression.
We will support each stage of development through different training programmes.
All employees will be expected to read and implement our "safe working procedures" for their H&S, others they work with and the animals they are with.
