Pine Animal Hospital is an independent, doctor-led small-animal general practice and urgent-care hospital in Long Beach, California.
We are hiring two veterinarians for medical and surgical work with an established support team. Experienced veterinarians and newer graduates are welcome.
We are building toward seven-day operation.

Candidates are invited to meet the staff, observe the workflow, and ask practical questions about a normal workday.
Our established technicians and support staff take ownership of the work surrounding patient care so doctors can concentrate on clinical reasoning, client conversations, and medical and surgical procedures.
Clinical tools include in-house laboratory testing and rapid cytology, digital and dental radiography, and point-of-care ultrasound.

A veterinarian who values ethical, high-quality small-animal medicine, thoughtful questions, clear communication with clients, and collaboration with technicians and colleagues.
Experienced veterinarians and newer graduates are welcome to discuss clinical interests and support needs.
California licensure or eligibility must be established before clinical work.
Ownership interest is optional.
- Four 10-hour days / 40 hours weekly with regular weekend coverage within those four days
- 30-minute appointments
- No overnight or on-call responsibilities
Independent veterinarians may discuss partner buy-in or full acquisition within approximately two years, subject to mutual fit, due diligence, financing, and negotiated terms. This is an opportunity for discussion, not a guaranteed equity program; no ownership percentage, valuation, or transaction date is promised.
Excellent associate candidates are welcome whether or not they want ownership.
