Organisational background
We are a very small family run friendly team that travels in the local area as a vet and nurse team in a small fully equipped van doing consultations in client’s homes. We also have a mobile surgical unit where operations can be carried out such as speys, castrates, lumpectomies and dentals. We offer flexible working so we are happy to chat to you about things you are happy/not happy doing In the home.

Company values
- To be the best we can be for our clients.
- To work together as a team helping each other out with cases.
- To make the job enjoyable by not having set rules, by being flexible and by trusting the employees
- To always do what is right for the patients
Our team is passionate about animal care and we also look after our team, just as we look after our patients. This comes with great work/life benefits, flexible working roles, and brilliant workplace and career development opportunities available within every role.
Each new member of our team will benefit from full workplace training, as well as a dedicated support bubble to make sure you fit in right away. Alongside this, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals in our state-of-the-art, one-of-a-kind mobile veterinary surgery unit.
We just do things very differently at Vetcare@Home compared to in a practice. We love the fact that by being a home visiting service it really helps clients and their pets when getting to a practice is difficult. We find because of this the owners are really grateful for what we do. We work very closely with owners forming close bonds so they know they can trust us. We encourage owners to contact us if they need us as we have the time to talk to them. We have more time to do things as our consultations are not for a set length of time meaning we can spend the right amount of time needed with the client rather than being rushed knowing the next consultation is waiting. We do this by not having set times for appointments we ring clients before going to check it is okay to go and to let them know we are on the way. We also have the option to refer cases if it is something we are not happy to or cannot treat in the home.
