WagWorks is the UK's first membership club for dogs, combining daycare, healthcare, training, and grooming under one roof.
Founded in 2022 with our flagship in Fulham, we opened our second club in Islington in late 2025, with further London sites planned.

Our model is built around integrated, holistic, preventative care. Members join through a personalised onboarding process, and their dogs benefit from continuity across every service - the vet knows the dog from daycare, the trainer knows the dog from the vet, and so on. Everything is designed around canine behavioural science: non-slip surfaces, soothing colour palettes, structured rest periods, enrichment zones, and calm clinical spaces.
We look after a limited number of dogs, and our veterinary team sits at the heart of the club - not in a separate practice bolted on, but embedded in the daily life of every dog that walks through the door.
- Dogs First — Every decision we make starts with what's best for the dog. Our spaces, routines, and staffing ratios are all designed around canine needs, not operational convenience. In practice, this means structured rest periods built into every day, temperament-based grouping, and a non-clinical environment where dogs feel calm and safe.
- Expertise With Heart — We hire people who are excellent at what they do and genuinely care. Our vets, behaviourists, and care team are qualified specialists who also happen to be deeply passionate dog people. We value clinical rigour alongside warmth and approachability.
- Continuity of Care — Our integrated model means the same team sees member dogs across daycare, health, training, and grooming. Vets build real, ongoing relationships with each dog — they know their baseline, spot subtle changes, and can act early. A true partnership.
- Always Learning — We're a young company building something new, and we expect everyone to contribute ideas, challenge the status quo, and keep developing. CPD isn't a box-ticking exercise here — it's part of the culture.
- Community — WagWorks is a members' club, and that extends to the team. We're building a close, collaborative workplace where people support each other and take pride in what we're creating together.
WagWorks offers something genuinely different for vets.
The role is focused entirely on preventative, proactive primary care within a membership model — no emergency triage, no high-volume throughput, no out-of-hours. You'll work with dogs you already know from the daycare floor, building long-term clinical relationships that most practice settings simply can't offer.

You'll work with dogs you already know from the daycare floor, building long-term clinical relationships that most practice settings simply can't offer.
The environment itself is purpose-built and beautiful — designed by award-winning architects around canine wellbeing, not retrofitted from a retail unit. You'll work alongside behaviourists, trainers, and groomers as part of one integrated team, meaning the clinical picture you build is richer and more holistic than in a standalone practice.
We're a fast-growing startup, so there's genuine scope to shape the veterinary offering as we scale. Our vets have had real influence on clinical protocols, the member health journey, and how we integrate data tracking into ongoing care. If you want autonomy, creativity, and a better quality of life — this is it.
Our ideal Club Vet is clinically confident in small animal primary care, but what really sets them apart is how they work. They're warm, approachable, and genuinely enjoy building relationships — both with dogs and their owners. They're comfortable in a non-traditional setting and excited by a model that prioritises prevention over reaction.
They're collaborative by nature, happy to work closely with our daycare, training, and grooming teams rather than operating in a clinical silo. They take ownership, suggest improvements, and care about the detail — whether that's refining a parasite protocol or taking two extra minutes to reassure an anxious owner.
Above all, they share our belief that vet care should be built around knowing each dog deeply, not processing them quickly. If you've ever felt frustrated by the 10-minute consult model, you'll thrive here.
What structured career progression initiatives do you have at the workplace : As a scaling startup with multiple new clubs planned across London, career progression at WagWorks is real and tangible. Our vets have the opportunity to:
• Grow into a combined In-House Vet & Club Manager role as we open new sites
• Shape clinical protocols and the member health journey from the ground up
• Take on mentorship responsibilities as the veterinary team expands
• Access a dedicated CPD budget with time ring-fenced for professional development
• Pursue certificate-level study in areas like veterinary nutrition, behaviour medicine, or dermatology, with company support
• Contribute to WagWorks' broader strategic direction — our clinical team has a seat at the table, not just a room at the back
The part-time, no-out-of-hours nature of this role is inherently family-friendly — there's no on-call rota, no late-night emergencies, and no weekend pressure.
We work with our team to agree on schedules that fit around their lives, and we're open to adjusting patterns as circumstances change. We believe that a vet who has balance in their own life delivers better care to the animals in ours.

WagWorks offers genuinely flexible scheduling for our veterinary team.
The In-House Club Vet role at Fulham is part-time in terms of number of hours, and we work collaboratively with our vets to agree on days and hours that best suit their lifestyle.
Because our model is membership-based and appointment-led rather than emergency-driven, there are no out-of-hours, on-call, or weekend rotas at all.
We're open to discussing the right balance for the right person.

WagWorks is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We recruit on capability, character, and alignment with our values — regardless of background, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
Our team already spans multiple nationalities and professional backgrounds, and we actively welcome applications from underrepresented groups within the veterinary profession.
We're a young company, and we're building our DEI framework as we grow, with a genuine intent to get it right.

Sustainability is embedded in how we've built our clubs. Our Fulham and Islington sites use energy-efficient climate control systems, LED lighting throughout, and responsibly sourced, durable materials chosen for longevity over disposability. We minimise single-use clinical waste where safely possible and partner with suppliers who share our commitment to reducing environmental impact.
As we scale, we're actively exploring more ambitious sustainability targets across our supply chain and operations.

Animal welfare is the foundation of everything we do.
Our entire model is designed to lower barriers to veterinary care:
Our entire model is designed to lower barriers to veterinary care:
• Every WagWorks membership includes a nose-to-tail health check, parasite prevention, and regular wellness monitoring as standard — removing the cost barrier to routine preventative care.
• Same-day vet appointments are available for members, eliminating long waits that can delay treatment.
• Because our vets see member dogs regularly in daycare, they develop a deep understanding of each dog's baseline health and behaviour, enabling earlier detection of issues.
• Our integrated approach means behavioural concerns (which are often linked to underlying health issues) are flagged collaboratively between trainers and vets, rather than falling through the cracks.
• We track personalised health data for each member dog, supporting a proactive rather than reactive model of care.
We believe that the best animal welfare outcomes come from knowing each animal deeply and making expert care accessible, convenient, and ongoing — not episodic.
