Meet the team
Dr Hannah Perrin
Hannah is an educator, coach, and researcher in veterinary leadership development. From her first job on a veterinary reception desk, her experience includes running a busy four-site practice, teaching veterinary education and professional skills at the Royal Veterinary College, and postgraduate study; earning her MA in Health Services Research in 2011, and her PhD in Veterinary Education in 2015.
She has consulted for practices from charity clinics to referral hospitals on veterinary leadership and education. As Learning & Development lead for the UK Veterinary Management Group (VMG)), she created, launched, delivered, and led the Certificate in Veterinary Leadership & Management (CVLM) programme, growing a team of tutors and supporting over 500 students through their qualifications. She was awarded the first ever Institute of Leadership Grant in 2024 for her work developing leadership training for the veterinary charity StreetVet.
She currently teaches veterinary business and leadership at UCLan Vet School, and in 2024 founded Clarity Professional to help veterinary leaders grow with kindness and confidence. She is a keen maker of things, parkrunner, and pianist, and lives beside the seaside in Kent.
Clarity is a training company and learning platform which helps veterinary leaders and educators grow.
We provide education, coaching and leadership development tailored to the unique challenges of the veterinary world.
We aim to both empower and equip veterinary leaders and educators with the skills, confidence, and support needed to grow with kindness and conviction.
Our strapline is 'Empower, equip, excel'.
- Empower - give people the confidence.
- Equip - give them the skills;
- Excel - see tangible results!
We believe in the power of education to enhance practice and create happy teams. We believe in positivity, connection, kindness and joy as forces for good - even at work!
Clarity practices the 1-1-1 philanthropic model.
We donate 1% of our profit, 1% of our time, and 1% of our product.
How is that put into practice?
1% of our profit:
Every quarter, 1% of our profit is donated to a charity. The charity changes every time, nominated by someone on the team, a student, or supplier, or anyone who’s helped Clarity to grow.
1% of our time:
All Clarity people are actively encouraged to take two (paid!) working days per year to volunteer their time. This might be part of an organised scheme or charity placement, or carrying out a service to their community such as picking up litter or playing the piano for the school choir.
1% of our product:
For every 100 courses that we sell, one will be provided for free to a learner who is either
(a) an employee of or volunteer for a UK registered charity;
(b) working in a country designated as low or lower-middle income by the World Bank;
(c) from an underrepresented or underserved community within the veterinary sector; or
(d) prevented from accessing training and CPD by some circumstantial barrier that financial support would help alleviate.
