Meet the team
Emily Bridges
I’m Emily; a vet, coach, leader, and someone who knows what it’s like to want more from your career.
I spent many years in clinical practice, before making a number of bold changes in direction, diversifying right out of practice into a role supporting the development of others, and more recently, into coaching and leadership. These changes weren’t always easy, but they’ve helped me build a portfolio career that reflects what lights me up; connection, creativity and supporting others. A career that feels like me.
Now I work with others who feel ready for the same, even if they don’t know what it is yet. Maybe you’re a vet thinking of stepping away from clinical practice, maybe you want to feel more fulfilled by your current role, or maybe you’re trying to create a career path that just feels more ‘you’. If you’ve been feeling stuck or confused, unsure how to make the first move, I’m here to help you to explore what’s possible. To support you to figure out your own fulfilling career and take real steps to get there.
• I’m an ICF-accredited coach with a diploma in transformational coaching. I’ve also spent years supporting others through professional crossroads and career decisions.
• I have the insight of someone who’s been there. I’ve made bold career changes, navigated uncertainty, and built a working life that actually works for me.
• I bring creativity, collaboration, and fun into the coaching space so we both get to enjoy your journey.
• I support people to take clear, confident action. Insights are important but so are the practical steps to doing something with them.
Coaching creates really personal relationships, so I want my coaching to reflect some of my own personal core values.
Connection
A coaching relationship is all about connection, and it’s important to me that you always feel safe working with me. It’s a collaboration; I don’t tell you what to do, we explore it together. You’re not alone. Connection beyond our sessions matters too. I’ve built a wide network over the years and will always strive to signpost you to other people and resources that might be helpful, because I believe connection brings opportunities.
Creativity
There’s no one right way to build a career (or a life) and there’s no one right way to hold a coaching session. I love the opportunity to have some fun along the way, to get curious, think differently and try new things. At times the conversations can get challenging, change can feel uncomfortable and thinking takes energy. That’s why it matters to me that we enjoy the work too. If you’re a visual thinker, let’s use that! If you love a step-by-step plan, brilliant! I flex my approach, so no two sessions feel the same.
Proactivity
I’m definitely one of life’s do-ers! The chance to talk for a whole hour about you and what you really need is invaluable. But being able to turn that into manageable actions is when change actually happens. I’ll support you to actually do the things, even when it feels uncomfortable.
Making a Difference
Of course, I love seeing the difference in clients’ lives once we’ve worked together but, for me, this value runs deeper. Coaching makes a difference, not just for individuals but their families, the people around them and their work too. I care about that impact, however big or small and that’s what keeps me showing up.

Mindset matters!
It's so easy to become focused on what you're not enjoying, what's not working, what you don't want but that makes it super difficult to find the things that will make you happy.
Get really clear on what you're good at, what you love doing and what brings you joy, then, when you're expending the energy it takes to make change happen, you know it's the right change for you.
Oh, and lots of employers will pay for coaching for you, they want you to enjoy your job too!
