Helen Allwood
Helen is a small animal vet with 15 years of experience, and now spends all her time working as a coach and trainer with The Vet Project. She started her career in mixed practice and enjoys managing her growing flock of sheep with her farm vet husband and three kids.
Helen is currently completing a PGCert in Business and Personal Coaching with the University of Chester.
Helen is passionate about increasing awareness of neurodiversity in veterinary practices, after a late diagnosis of ADHD, and looking for ways to engage the skills of ND team members.
We started The Vet Project in 2022, with one simple purpose: to make life better for vets. We had both seen first hand the toll that working in the veterinary industry was having on our friends and colleagues, and we knew that there was so much scope to make it better, so we decided to be that change.
Our sole aim is to improve the lives of neurodivergent people in the veterinary sector.
We do this by supporting workplaces with education and consultancy around neurodiversity, and individuals with coaching to help them to develop strategies that will make life easier.
We strive to offer high quality CPD, training and coaching where delegates will leave with actionable strategies that they feel confident to implement straight away.
A good place to start would be our Neurodiversity for Veterinary Leaders online CPD course.
It's a full day of online, live and interactive CPD for £250.
We can offer the VSGD community two places for £200 each when they are booked together.
