Meet the team
Amelia Sherwood RVN NCert (Anaesth)
I’m an RVN with over 15 years experience in managing
complex and challenging wound cases personally.
Having carved out a role as a wound nurse in clinical
practice, I spent many years expanding my knowledge
and developing my skillset in veterinary wound
management.
I have provided In-house training to vets and nurses on
various topics for around 10 years, however wound
management and nurse utilisation are the topics that
have my heart!
The key to success in wound management is ensuring
that the veterinary team adopt a collaborative
approach by working cohesively. In-house Training &
Education will help you provide the best care possible
to improve patient outcomes, whilst feeling confident
in your knowledge and techniques.
The key to success in wound management is ensuring that the veterinary team adopt a collaborative approach by working cohesively. In-house Training & Education will help you provide the best care possible to improve patient outcomes, whilst feeling confident in your knowledge and techniques.
We have provided wound management training & education to veterinary teams internationally for around 10 years and are now bringing this knowledge to you and your practice, empowering the team to make educated clinical decisions when it comes to creating and implementing a wound care plan.
The education provided and wound care products discussed and demonstrated are done so with complete integrity and the companies who we work alongside are selected based on shared values in authenticity and transparency, backed with a strong evidence base.
As part of the in-house CPD services, we provide a session at your practice at any time or day that works best for you. The training lasts around 2.5 hours and we can make this bespoke to suit the requirements of the team, using engaging and interactive teaching methods.
Dressing samples, wound management resources and CPD notes are also provided.
The cost is £350 for teams of up to ~10 people (with an additional fee of £100 for every 10 extra members of the team) and travel is dependent on location.
Tiered discounts depending on team size
Be inquisitive. We never stop learning as veterinary professionals and our work is ever evolving, so approaching every task with curiosity over different ways to do things and exploring opportunities for growth helps us to acquire new skills and knowledge and ultimately improve the quality of care we can provide to our patients.
