  • Company overview

The Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) is the governing body for licensed greyhound racing in England, Scotland and Wales.

Our role is to safeguard the integrity and future prosperity of British greyhound racing so that it remains a successful and sustainable sport with welfare at its heart.

We are staffed by world-leading experts including vets, academics and animal welfare specialists all of whom love and care for our greyhounds, putting them centre-stage in all we do.

Through our Greyhound Commitment and long-term welfare strategy, ‘A Good Life for Every Greyhound’, we aim to further promote and protect welfare across all stages of a racing greyhound’s life.

  • Company values

Welfare is paramount within licensed greyhound racing and everyone at GBGB is committed to optimising the care greyhounds receive throughout their lives. Our Greyhound Commitment encapsulates our dedication to our greyhounds and sets out the ways in which we constantly strive to drive welfare standards forward.
