Ever spotted a problem in veterinary practice and thought, "Surely there's a better way?"

That's exactly where Dr Angela Jones' entrepreneurial journey began.

An experienced equine veterinary surgeon, Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Equine Internal Medicine and elected BEVA Council member, Angela has spent over 17 years in clinical practice. But alongside her clinical career, she's also become a veterinary tech entrepreneur.

In 2021, Angela and fellow vet Dr Emma Pemberthy co-founded Petscribers, after recognising how frustrating and time-consuming written prescriptions could be for veterinary teams and pet owners.

What started as a shared frustration has grown into an innovative veterinary technology business, developing a digital prescribing platform designed to make life easier for practices and medication more accessible for pet owners.

In 2026, Petscribers was recognised with an Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award, placing Angela among just 61 award recipients across the UK.
