RVN Career Q & A

Add to calendar:

Join us for our next Career Q&A with Sarah Ellen Tranter, a former veterinary nurse who’s carved out a thriving non-clinical career in the pet insurance sector. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in clinical practice, Sarah made the leap into a new path and hasn’t looked back since.

Now working with ManyPets, she brings her frontline insight to a non-clinical setting, advocating for better pet care and supporting the veterinary profession from a different angle. We’ll explore her journey from clinic to corporate, what transferable skills helped her shift, the realities of working in pet insurance, and how she continues to support others as a mentor and StreetVet volunteer.

This session is perfect for anyone curious about non-clinical careers, especially those wanting to align their values and passion for animals with new opportunities.

Bring your questions and join us for an honest, inspiring conversation.

Sarah Ellen Tranter has worked in the veterinary industry since 2005, spending 15 years as a registered veterinary nurse in clinical practice. During that time, she developed a strong passion for clinical coaching, feline welfare, and charitable work—including ongoing volunteering with StreetVet.

Over the past five years, Sarah has transitioned into a non-clinical role, now working with ManyPets pet insurance, where she blends her veterinary knowledge with a broader mission to improve pet care and client support. Outside of work, Sarah is dedicated to mentoring and empowering others, helping veterinary professionals upskill, grow in confidence, and explore new career directions.

Based in Scotland with her two Alaskan Malamutes, Sarah is always keen to connect with those who share her passion for animal care and professional development.
