WagWorks is the UK's first membership club for dogs, combining daycare, healthcare, training, and grooming under one roof.

Founded in 2022 with our flagship in Fulham, we opened our second club in Islington in late 2025, with further London sites planned.

Our model is built around integrated, holistic, preventative care. Members join through a personalised onboarding process, and their dogs benefit from continuity across every service - the vet knows the dog from daycare, the trainer knows the dog from the vet, and so on. Everything is designed around canine behavioural science: non-slip surfaces, soothing colour palettes, structured rest periods, enrichment zones, and calm clinical spaces.

We look after a limited number of dogs, and our veterinary team sits at the heart of the club - not in a separate practice bolted on, but embedded in the daily life of every dog that walks through the door.

WagWorks is looking for a skilled, personable veterinarian to join WagWorks Fulham as our In-House Club Vet. This is a part-time, consult-only role - no surgery, no anaesthesia, no weekends, and no on-call. You'll work a daytime shift, centred around core hours of 10am–3pm from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility on exact timings & days to suit the right person.

WagWorks is redefining canine care at its members' clubs by bringing daycare, healthcare, grooming, and training together under one roof. At Fulham, our flagship location, we're looking for someone to take ownership of the clinical experience.

A typical day involves member consultations, triage, and preventive care conversations, working closely with our Front of House, Daycare & Grooming teams. It's a role that suits someone who takes pride in the consultation itself - the communication, the relationships, the standard of care - rather than the volume.

  • Qualified MRCVS with at least two years' post-grad experience.
  • Confident in sole charge and comfortable making clinical decisions independently.
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain infection-control and isolation protocols.
  • Passionate about preventative medicine and first-line diagnostics.
  • Natural communicator who enjoys member-facing consultations and collaborative case discussions.
  • OV-certified (export certification) desirable but not essential.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a modern, member-centred approach to canine care.

  • Lead the club’s healthcare offering and manage day-to-day clinical care, including consults, triage, and preventive services.

  • Deliver high-quality, 30-minute consults, referring to trusted external partners when needed.

  • Proactively manage recall/reminder systems for vaccinations and routine preventative treatments.

  • Maintain WagWorks’ clinical protocols, ensuring full legal and professional compliance.

  • Manage medical stock, perform point-of-care diagnostics, and maintain accurate records.

  • Collaborate with vets across WagWorks clubs on case discussions, clinical governance, and the development of protocols, resources, and initiatives that improve canine wellbeing.

  • Work with the senior team to market and position our healthcare services.

  • Build strong relationships with members, acting as a friendly, expert first point of contact.

  • Liaise daily with Front of House and daycare leads to guarantee a seamless client experience.

Working hours:

30 hours per week over 4 days. There is flexibility here for the right candidate.

WagWorks offers genuinely flexible scheduling for our veterinary team.

The In-House Club Vet role at Fulham is part-time in terms of number of hours, and we work collaboratively with our vets to agree on days and hours that best suit their lifestyle.

Because our model is membership-based and appointment-led rather than emergency-driven, there are no out-of-hours, on-call, or weekend rotas at all.

We're open to discussing the right balance for the right person.

  • Competitive part-time salary with flexibility on days and session structure• No out-of-hours, no on-call, no weekend or emergency rotas
  • Generous CPD allowance and dedicated CPD time
  • RCVS membership fees covered
  • Staff discount on certain WagWorks services
  • A purpose-built, beautifully designed clinical environment - no cold steel, no fluorescent lighting
  • Small, close-knit, multidisciplinary team (vets, behaviourists, groomers, daycare specialists)
  • Genuine autonomy to shape the healthcare offering and build long-term relationships with member dogs
  • A growing company with real career development opportunities as we expand across London
